Little Caesar's Pizza Kits
Today was the kick-off for our all school pizza kit fall fundraiser. Caesar was on hand this morning to welcome the kids to school.
09/30: Order forms go home
10/14: Order forms due to school
10/20: Pizza kit pick up
Profits generated from 5th grade sales will go into each student's individual 5th grade camp account. K-4 profits will benefit the PTO and go toward technology purchases and upcoming events! Please support our wonderful Hardy Students!!

Battle of the Box Tops!!

A box top flyer went home earlier this week advertising the first box top competition of the year. It is a friendly competition built around the UM vs. MSU football game. Clip, collect and deposit your box tops into the Michigan or Michigan State container in the lobby. We can't wait to see which school collects the most box tops!!

 




We held our volunteer orientation on Monday morning. Thank you to those who were able to join us. If you were not able to join us, the agenda is attached, we are still looking for volunteers. Please contact Holly Tilton or Nichole Hilfinger for more information. A special thanks to Lindsay Jackson who came to speak to us about the district's Adopt-a-Reader program. The Adopt-a-Reader flyer is attached, please contact Lindsay if you are interested in working with K-2 readers.

It looked iffy at the start, but the weather cooperated for our first Billion Bubble Boogie! The kids had a great time boogie-ing around the track to the music. Thank you to Mrs. Rose, Ms. Brown, Mrs. Wright, Mr. Jafa, the classroom teachers and all the parent volunteers who helped pull off the event. It would not have been possible without your help.

2016-2017 Student Directory Cover Contest
Thank you to all the students who submitted a drawing for the directory cover contest. We had 22 entires! All the kids did a great job! It was a tough decision but here are our winners:

Join us Friday, September 23rd for our first Billion Bubble Boogie! We would love to see you walking with your child or standing around the track cheering them on or blowing bubbles.
K-2: 1:30-2:30
3-5: 2:40-3:40
Parents and siblings are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring your bubbles (no bubble weapons please). There is an event t-shirt that is available to purchase for $10. If you are interested in buying a t-shirt please send the attached form with your payment back to school by September 20th.

Calling all Huskies!! It's time to design the cover of our student directory. 
Your drawing must be something that represents or symbolizes Hardy Elementary and its students. It should be on a plain white 8-1/2 x11 sheet of paper and drawn in black and white ONLY. Please put your name and teacher’s name on the BACK of the paper. 
Drawings are due on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. 
Looking forward to seeing all the great drawings our students will be submitting.

Your 2016-2017 Hardy PTO Board hopes that everyone had an enjoyable summer and are ready to head back to school! Please review these few items below. We appreciate your attention. 

Information Gathering for the Student Directory and Volunteering
We would like to get the directory published and into your hands ASAP! In order to accomplish this, please submit your response via the online google form or paper form no later than Wednesday, September 14, 2016.  
Unfortunately, if we do not receive your response by that date, you forfeit placement in the directory for this school year
Paper copies of the form will be available in the office if you do not have computer access.  
Due to privacy concerns, it is necessary for you to resubmit your information annually.
