Congratulations Mr. Hamill & Miss Clark's 5th Graders

These classes worked together to organize, sell and distribute candy grams to fellow Hardy Students.  With their hard efforts, they were able to raise over 900 dollars for The Bottomless Toy Chest, in addition to the class donation of over 60 toys for kids with cancer. During the holiday season, they were able to put their learned Habits of Mind into action!  I am sure they have made many children and their families very happy at this time of the year.  Great Job!

Hardy Lap-A-Thon

Hardy's 2015 annual school-wide Lap-A-Thon Fundraiser!  This is our BIGGEST PTO fundraiser (assuming we reach our goal) for the year, so we really need your support to make it a great success and reach our goal of $10,000.
All students will complete laps on the school 1/4 mile track during gym class the week of October 19-23.  This is an opportunity for your child to help raise money for the school, while having fun and getting some healthy exercise, too!
You should have received a pledge form to be completed, if not copies are available in the office.  Please note, Kindergartners only run 4 laps and the 5th graders' monies will go directly toward their camp fund. Their will be rewards for top fundraisers, top earning classroom, top 3 lap runners and all students will receive a small token of appreciation for participating!
Pledges collected in CASH are welcome.  If you collect checks, please have sponsors make the checks out to you, and then you write ONE check to Hardy PTO for the total amount of all pledges.
We will need your help to make this fundraiser successful.  Please consider volunteering for just 35 minutes.  Here is the link to the Sign-Up Genius page

Hoopla Success!

Thank you for making the Hoopla a wonderful success!  We had a great turn out of volunteers from parents, to teachers, to community resources like the Key Club, Cheer Team, Girls Scouts, Robotics Club and many more.  The support of our community is instrumental in us being able to provide fun family activities.  The weather was not our friend but we managed to still have a great time!  Many of our teachers and staff were great sports and took some pies in the face!

Special thanks to Bagger Dave's of Novi, Dolly's Pizza of South Lyon and Novi Coffee for donating all of their proceeds to the PTO.  CARES Club did a great job with their photo bench and assisting with Communication Cafe's Cocoa Stand.  It helped to have some warm cocoa that night.

Thank you!

Thank you to all those that attended the first PTO meeting. We love hearing all your fresh ideas and input.  Please remember even if you are not able to attend a meeting you can share your ideas with us, by contacting a board member.  There are many ways to help!  Also a big thank you, to those who helped with Kindergarten lunch and pickup/drop off.  The volunteers have been helping children open milk cartons, food containers and generally helping them in and around the cafeteria.  We are working with Mr. Heitsch to get all our Kindergartners where they needed to be for those picking up. Your patience is appreciated!

The link to the Hardy drop off procedure is here.  For the safety of all students and parents please use the routes indicated on this flyer.

We now have a link on the right to access South Lyon Community Schools website were you will be able to find the Volunteer Background Check form (it is also on our site under the Volunteering tab) as well as helpful information like the school calendar and lunch menus.
